Ideal VR Camp has an exciting Summer Camp Season planned for 2019! Summer Camp Sessions are Open Now for registration. We utilize the latest technology, team building, skill development, and project engineering. Our experienced instructors are skilled in youth engagement on the full spectrum of learning levels and masterful classroom culture leaders.

Camp workshop sessions highlight education and training experiences that produce tangible products. Campers of all ages will enjoy a full fun day of interactive activities and meaningful lessons!

Grad 6th – 8th

Robotics & Innovative engineering

PATH Engineering

This summer, we’re running the best STEAM-based summer camp in New Jersey. We’re offering both half-day (9am – 12pm) and full-day (9am – 3pm) options for kids aged 7-12 with optional aftercare until 5pm (for additional fee of $30/hour).

This summer camp includes hands-on learning experiences rooted in the integration of science, technology, engineering, game-design and math. We will integrate science and engineering as we create new games or recreate prototypes of old favorites.

All camp instructors are experienced educators. No food is provided – campers must come with a lunch and snack each day.

Building DYI Drones

PATH Engineering

Learn principles of flight, what makes things go up against the air & why, basics of 3D Printing & CAD, soldering & electronics. Build a load bearing fully functional Quad Copter which can fly using remote control & as an add-on you can make your copter take aerial photos. Take your drone home!

We use the safest and most reliable drone products on the market, including the Parrot™ drones for enhanced safety and most of all, fun. Campers will learn the basics of drone technology and safety before taking to the air to fly and code the drones using technology-appropriate programming languages. Through the use of iPad flight simulators and clear instructions on basic flying maneuvers, Ideal VR Lab’s pilots will experience a program filled with excitement, games, challenges, and learning. Students work all week long to prepare for the most enjoyable part of the week: The Ultimate Drone Games where students collaborate, strategize, and create their own drone games and then compete against one another.

Virtual Reality Summer camp

Have you ever wanted to escape reality? Now you can with this virtual reality summer camp. They will learn how to do computer coding, build a YouTube channel, and most importantly, have fun.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind virtual reality STEM summer camp experience! Here at Ideal VR lab your children will:

YouTube & Twitch: Fortnight & eSports

PATH Gaming

Students will learn how to set up game-capture programs to record gameplay and stream it to the two biggest platforms in the gaming world, YouTube and Twitch. After streaming, they’ll take highlights from their stream and edit them into standalone videos, ready to be published! Students will use the green-screen to record a mixed reality video They’ll also gain key skills in design-based programs as they create banner art, overlays and catchy thumbnails to ensure a healthy stream of followers. In the end, they’ll come away with all that they need to start their streaming career.

Drawing for Video Games

PATH Designing

Drawing for Video Games is for those with a passion and desire to pursue a creative future then blend it in with their possible future career. In this course we’ll delve in to the fundamentals of basic drawing then progress to character design and animation. This would be a fun course designed to improve your artistic skills and show how to have fun with silly doodles made in their books. Great follow up class to this is the 3D Animation Class.

Hardware Insider

PATH Designing

This course is a study of the basic assembly, maintenance, and repair of computer systems. Students will disassemble a computer and learn to identify each component and its function. Students will learn how to select parts for a computer build, then assemble and test a desktop computer. In addition to learning how all the components work students will learn about circuitry, learn basics of software such as BIOS, the operating system and drivers and understand how to benchmark, troubleshoot and upgrade computer parts and what it would take to build their own gaming computer.

Oculus Rift is a hardware platform consisting of a headset & earphones that allows people to experience virtual reality.Learn how to use the Unity game engine and tackle the unique design challenges that arise when building for Virtual Reality. You’ll learn how the game engine controls everything from moving platforms to AI.

Being able to use the Internet and operate computers is one thing, but it is just as valuable to teach students how to code. Giving students an introduction to programming helps peel back the layers of what happens inside computers and how computers communicate with one another online. Programming also teaches other important skills, including math and logic.

iOS App Development

During this course, students will learn to create mobile phone applications using React Native, the cross platform development tool of choice for professional developers. At the beginning of the week, students will learn to weave together new skills in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to create useful and fun apps. By the end of the week, students will learn to create strong UIs and apps or games of their choice. Solve a problem, or just make something fun!

Game design

PATH Design

Create your own video games using the same tools as industry pros. Design games, characters and levels using the Unity™ game engine – or learn how to create mods in DMA’s popular Minecraft™ camps and more.

Our summer camp offers engaging, hands-on experiences that set kids and teens on their way to have a future career in the $22 billion dollar video game industry.

Our summer camp teachers are the same instructors that do after school programs in local schools as well as our year-round classes at Ideal VR Lab.
